Daredevil Wu Yongning died last month while struggling a wall-climbing stunt in southeast China. Welcome back to What's Trending, for more social media bulletin every single era. Wu was aiming the stunt at a 62 -story skyscraper in Changsha Hunan, Province. Wu's family told a press conference that he was attempting the stunt to earn $15,000 in prize money. Forewarn: the footage you're about to see is very disturbing. Another one of Wu's cameras captured this part of the descend and the moment when he loses his grasp and twilights. And he died from a 45 -foot fall onto a terrace below. And the whole thing is precisely chilling and shocking to watch. According to the South China Morning Post, Wu was planning to propose to his lover the working day after completing the challenge. The incident took place during November 8, but Wu's girlfriend Jinjin only obligated the edict recently, after followers were worried when he hadn't updated his Weibo account in over a month. At the time of his death, Wu had uploaded over 300 videos to Weibo, which is a social network in China. Another Chinese rooftopper, Charlie_7U commented on Weibo: "He get a bit over the top, always trying things that are beyond their capabilities. I have even saved him once ... we stopped toy together." Skyscraper stunts have taken away from in recent years, composing viral suns on YouTube and Instagram. Last year, Vice on HBO followed Russian hothead Kirill Vselensky and recounted how onlookers expect large and bigger stunts each time. "The crazier the photo, the more partisans he gets, which wants his photos are quality even higher." Back in October, online hotheads Ivan Beerkus and Angela Nikolau scaled to the top of the highest crane in Hong Kong, but are these daredevils pushing the limits too much just for views and followers? Not numerous rooftoppers have commented on Wu's death, but Instagram daredevil NightScape seems to think he may have chosen a stunt he wasn't equipped to complete. He tweeted: "You can't do a muscle up/ climb up, don't hang off buildings. Ahh man Rest In Peace." Of track, Wu might not have been just trying this for a inexpensive thrill. His step uncle told the South China Morning Post he was doing these new challenges "for medical treatment for his ailing mother." So, why don't these types of hotheads take more prudences just in case something actually does happen? Stunt climber James Kingston told the BBC it takes away from its own experience. He said: " the moment you start wearing safety equipment is the moment you've got doubt and when you've got fear, that's when things can go wrong." And, regrettably, he's right. Without the danger, they wouldn't be hotheads. And, stunts like this have certainly gone wrong in the past. You might remember this Russian basejumper who had a bit of a parachute malfunction in 2012. Fortunately, the blizzard cushioned his drop and he only fractured his vertebrae, pelvis and legs. He was even able to walk again ... after 3 month. And back in 2003, jumper Dwain Weston got caught in some rough hurricanes and died when he gate-crashed his wingsuit into a expulsion connection in Colorado. Wu Yongning will be remembered by his countless admirers as the "Chinese Superman." Rest In Peace. And for everyone watching, don't hazard your life just for a selfie, or a great social media affix. It's not worth it. And be sure to look out for more of What's Trending. .
