Bitcoin (BTC) has had a pretty tough year, as its value has been highly volatile over the past months. The digital currency which saw its all-time high of about $20k back in December last year, plunged to the $6k level in June this year.
Nevertheless, the faithful enthusiasts and investors of Bitcoin (BTC) remain excited, and a lot of them have predicted that the value of the digital currency will exceed its all-time from December last year.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at $6,210 after a decrease of 0.34 percent over the past twenty-four hours. The digital currency boasts of a market cap of $107.05 billion and a trading volume of $3.71 billion over the past twenty-four hours.
Chamath Palihapitiya’s Prediction
The founder and CEO of Social Capital – Chamath Palihapitiya, predicted in December that the value of Bitcoin (BTC) will surge to as high as $1 million in twenty years. Back in May this year, Mr. Palihapitiya said that BTC is a valuable form of insurance since it’s “basically not correlated” to the S&P 500 index.
Last month, he tweeted that he believes that the value of the digital currency would surpass the value of gold.
Tom Lee’s Prediction
Fundstrat Global Advisors’ Tom Lee said in the month of June that Bitcoin (BTC) is a “great store of value.” In another interview, he predicted that the value of BTC will hit the $20k mark by the end of this year.
Brian Kelly’s Prediction
The founder of BKCM LLC – Brian Kelly said that he is a fan of both Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) when it comes to digital currencies. Nevertheless, he favors ETH over BTC, but he believes the value of Bitcoin (BTC) will surge higher in the coming months.
Ran Neu-Ner’s Prediction
The CEO and founder of OnChain Capital – Ran Neu-Ner said that the digital currency is just in the early phases of its existence. He said the digital currency has the potential to better in the future and he also compared it to “digital gold.”
