30 Days Challenge Fall 2018: Today

This is my entry into #challenge30days by @dragosroua

Up early around 8 am and off to the City by 9. Our destination today is much the same as it was for the last two trips. Grey skies slowly melting into blue. The ground damp from yesterday's rain. On the way home, we took the usual route. The road through Calabogie. The one with the vegetable stand, now empty, and onto the apple orchard, McGregor's. Picked up some Cortlands, plan on making pie and sauce.

It is November 1. The grass is still growing and green. The weeds thrive. My harvest is complete. I pulled the last pumpkin from the vine three weeks ago. Next year, I plan on growing a heritage white pumpkin. Which one? I will decide that probably in December.

This was my first year working with pumpkins. I've grown squash but never pumpkins I experimented this past summer because I wanted to learn more pumpkins. So far, I've have found out there is a lot more to pumpkin growing than I thought. However, I see the challenge and welcome it.
