Teufel's Cinebar Pro 4K-compatible sound bar delivers powerful, spacious sound with rich, precise bass from a wireless subwoofer.
German audio giants, Teufel, has announced their new high-end soundbar and woofer duo, the Cinebar Pro. Featuring drivers aplenty as well as four 4K-compatible HDMI inputs it already sounded good on paper. Throw in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for music streaming, we just needed to know more.
Teufel Cinebar Pro
As televisions get wider and thinner our choice of viewing is shown in ever better picture quality. It is just a shame that the sound quality can suffer.
However, Teufel's new Cinebar Pro 120cm long soundbar packs six mid-range drivers and two tweeters. These are powered by six power amplifiers for powerfully clear audio.
Additionally, adding more low-end, is the T10 subwoofer. The sub connects to the soundbar wirelessly and as such can be set up flexibly in the room. Furthermore, you can also decide whether you want to direct the bass to the floor (down-firing) or into the room (front-firing).
Also, thanks to Teufel's Dynamore Ultra technology, the drivers on both sides of the Cinebar Pro create virtual surround sound.
Connection options
No fewer than four HDMI devices can be connected directly to the Cinebar Pro - and it supports 4K!
Additionally, there is an optical and coaxial digital audio input as well as two jack inputs. Also, you can connect directly to your TV via HDMI with ARC and CEC. Audio Return Channel (ARC) forwards the sound from internal TV sources such as integrated TV receivers or Smart TV content directly to the Cinebar Pro. Thanks to Consumer Electronic Control (CEC), all basic functions of the soundbar can be controlled via the TV remote control.
If you want, you can add real surround sound to the Cinebar Pro you can even add a rear speaker amplifier, such as Teufel's RearStation 4, which can send the audio wirelessly to the back channels.
Streaming via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
Teufel is no stranger to music playback so it makes sense that they equipped the Cinebar Pro with the relevant skillset. Moreover, as well as ensuring it can stream audio directly via Bluetooth 4.0, they added Wi-Fi. This means that you can use Google Chromecast built-in and play streams from hundreds of apps. Spotify users will also be pleased to know that Spotify Connect is integrated.
Price and availability
The Cinebar Pro comes as a set with a stand, remote control and batteries, plus wireless T10 subwoofer, for £1099.99.
It is available now direct from Teufel at www.teufelaudio.com.
