Battlefield LIVE is an exciting outdoor laser skirmish game.
It's more fun than paintball, there is no paint and no pain. Game inventors Peter and Nicole Lander have been hosting sessions at Thunderbird Park for 10 years and have now presented Battlefield Undead.
Nicole says the first session ended in 15 minutes.
This is the "Zombies" team against Team Defenders or "Survivors".
Zombies start with 3 hit points, survivors start with 5 hit points.
Survivors are initially armed with a class of rifle, ideally a Dragunov SVD.
Zombies have SMGs or pistols, gun class, and unimportant weapon emulation.
"It was awesome. Zombies armed with infrared game guns enhanced with special sound effects started their attack from the secret medical research center," says Nicole.
Complete with awesome sound effects, new Zombie technology allows gamers to play as a post-apocalypse live game series.
“The Daring Survivors take on the zombies with infrared game guns. Their mission is to fight through the jungle village to the police outpost for weapon upgrades,” Nicole said.
Survivors have to fight their way through the zombie horde to receive the Police Outpost to get a love upgrade, i.e. increase to 7 health points.
This zombie game can last up to 10 minutes, at which time the helicopter will arrive to extract live players, even infected, from the contamination zone.
The game ends if all the defenders have been transformed into zombies.
Award-winning battlefield infrared weaponry incorporates patented Small Arms Receiver Transmitter (SATR) technology.
“While there is the thrill of playing a laser skirmish in the forest, players also need tactics and work together to rid Tamborine of the zombie plague,” Nicole said.
"To add to the fear factor, we encourage players to come in disguise." Nicole said. “When we launched our Zombie Games pilot, our crew wore fake blood-splattered Lab Coast instead of their regular camouflage gear.
In October, all between zombies and the global apocalypse is a few hundred brave souls with a few hours to kill and some money to burn. The Zombie Outbreak will be limited to 100 players for each morning and afternoon session.
