STORY
Moana is a story of a girl who undertake a peril journey across the Pacific Ocean in order to save her island. Dwayne Johnson as Maui is a demigod who stole the heart of Te Fiti. The darkness which resulted spread far and wide, eventually reaching the island of Motunui, home to a tribe led by Chief Tui. His daughter and heir Moana (Auli’i Cravalho) loved her island and people, but always felt a strong connection to the sea, drawing her to explore beyond the reef. When the crops dried up and no fish could be found, her wise old grandmother would reveal to her a secret which would prompt her to leave the island and attempt to seek out Maui to make him return the heart of Ti Fiti.
About the Movie
There is so much joy to be had from going to see this movie. At first I thought it was a movie about music like Moana or Frozen v.v.. but it's not like that. I could say this is the best cartoon of 2016 because of the pictures and every song in the movie. The story of the film is very deep and makes viewers very easy to scroll into the circuit. It's not Moana, nor Maui but the main Heihei is the most impressive character in the movie. The movie is suitable for all ages and every genders. It was well developed, funny, had great characters and a fantastic soundtrack.
The last part of the movie is so beautiful. And would have taken tears of emotional girls.life rather than just surviving.
Moana is proud of her tribe’s heritage and won’t let anyone stand in her way. Maui is very similar to his voice actor’s alto ego (The Rock) – he’s big and arrogant, but lovable. He also has awesome tattoos! Together they complement each other perfectly and were a joy to watch.
Musically there are certain similarities in style to ‘Frozen’ and ‘The Princess and the Frog’, but I also thought one of the songs (You’re Welcome) sounded like it could have come from ‘Sunshine on Leith’.
