Goblin (The lonely and great god) is a 2016 South Korean fantasy and romance drama Tv Series. With a number of 16 episodes, it was directed by Lee Eung-bok, Kwon Hyuk-chan and Yoon Jong-ho. The drama stars amazing actors like Goo Yoo, Kim Go-eun, Lee Dong-wook, Yoo In-na, Yook Sung-jae and many others.

Synopsis
In search for his bride to end his life of immortality, he finally finds her and every minute counts as they fall in love.
The TV Series revolves around the lives of four people whose lives has been intertwined in the past due to the tragedies they faced. Kim Shin is a Goblin and protector of souls, he has been cursed to live a life of immortality due to an injustice he faced, having died a wrongful death but also punished for those who died because of him. However, the only way for him to end his misery of living endlessly is for him to find his bride, who is the only one that can end his life. Ji Eun-tak is a high school student and the Goblin's bride in question. Knowing her status, she could also see the souls of the dead and could also summon Goblin when she wants.
Their relationship which was supposed to be as simple as, the bride ending the life of Goblin became a complicated one as they begin to fall in love with each other. The life of Goblin which was void of meaning before Eun-tak started to have meaning and the thought of ending his life became an horror to him. Now there is a problem of time ticking as the role of the Goblin's bride needs to be fulfilled, which is to remove the imaginary sword stucked in his heart.

The drama also follows the life of Sunny a young woman whose past life is connected to that of the grim reaper due to their tragic past. The grim reaper is haunted by his inability to remember his past life. As it is said in the series a person becomes a grim reaper as a result of his wrong deeds in his past life. So guiding the souls of the dead into the afterlife he stayed in the same house with the Goblin, as they stay together then become close.

Goblin is a kdrama series that that does not disappoint the viewers expectations, if any it exceeds my expectations. The series set a standard for other coming kdrama series to follow, winning awards to it's name. I am a lover of kdrama series but Goblin was top notch. The plot was amazing that one could easily follow, the flashbacks and the twist to the series carried it's own spark. A heart warming fantasy drama that keeps you wishing and praying for both leads to overcome every tragic moments they face. It has lots of emotional scenes that either makes you cry or blush like you are the one on the screen. There are cute moments between Kim Shin (Goblin) and Eun-tak that leaves you lost in the fantasy world. Also fun moments, especially the bromance between the Grim Reaper and the Goblin whose friendship would keep you laughing and crying towards the end.
One of the scenes that gave me teary eyes was the way the grim reaper cries any time he sees Sunny, although he can not remember his past but his heart does. One of the most important thing of all, well for me though, the OST was permit me to say, Madd. One of the best Ost's ever, by Chanyeol(Exo) titled "Stay With Me", although there were other beautiful Ost but this was my favourite, you know the feeling you get from a movie with a beautiful blend of music, yeah that is what I mean. Not the typical kind of ending but it a satisfying and reasonable ending.

Credit to the amazing cast by the directors who were able to deliver a wonderful performance in this series. Gong Yoo as the Goblin was exceptional in his performance, you just love his chessy acts in some scenes that you just want to keep your eyes on the screen so as not to miss anything. Kim Go-eun role as Eun-tak was also well delivered, she portrayed her emotions so well that you just smile when she does and cry when she does, cheering for her happiness to the end. Also kudos to, Lee Dong-wook and Yoo In-na who also did good in their performance.
Goblin was worth the watch for me, looking to see a kdrama series, then this is a must watch....yeah! You heard right, I put it as a must watch for any kdrama lover or anyone just looking to see a series.
