Hi Steemians!

Few days ago a new German mini-series arrived on Netflix based on a true story that happened in Leipzig in 2013, six episodes lasting about thirty minutes each, speaking about two young nerds who, as the title suggested, they will try to sell illegal pills on internet. I want to warn you that from now on you may run into some spoilers.

The story is very simple, Moritz, a loved up boy, anxiously awaits the return from the U.S. of his girlfriend Lisa, who, after a year spent overseas, has changed and is quite confused, she communicates to him via video call at her arrival at the airport, that she needs a break from their relationship. Soon Moritz discovers that she hang out Daniel, an athletic and handsome boy who is a pills drug dealer, blinded by envy, tries to win her back by deciding to create a site on the Darknet with his disabled friend Lenny, both hackers with high knowledge, where to sell pills. How will they accept payments from customers? Naturally through the choice of some Cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, XRP, Iota and Ethereum.

The two friends will have to face many ups and downs, they will find themselves caught up in shady business and will have to deal with local and international drug dealers. Some very acute observations and explanations come from these six wisely filmed episodes, starting from the explanations of what the Darknet is and the effects and consequences that MDMA and Exctasy have on our brains, with the intriguing and particular choice of being able to skip this last part in case you already have the appropriate knowledge on the matter. There is also the exceptional participation of the guest star Jonathan Frakes, Star Trek's commander William T. Riker, who will explain to the viewers with intelligence and in a funny way what the dark part of the Web deal. Very interesting also other observations, as the use and the abuse of modern technology especially by young people and the impact on their lives.

My final judgment on the series is very positive, I found it really very smart funny, two things difficult to find in a tv series, sometimes grotesque but at the same time educational, we will see if it will be possible to watch a second season, considering the season finale there's a potential. The only not-so-positive note, the negative advertising about cryptocurrencies world, which is often associated with illegal actions and from a layman's point of view could be limited to that context only, the addition of an appropriate explanation on the world of cryptocurrencies as that concerning the Darknet and the effects of synthetic drugs on the human brain would have been a much more appropriate choice.

VERSIONE ITALIANA

I knew it can be done over dark net on various markets there, but I always wondered how the hell it came to person who order ? It can't go there with regular post I guess. There are a lot of dark things on dark net like buying/selling credit cards, druggs, arms etc... Also from time to time american agencies bring down such sites and arrest administrators (like they did with silk road).

I've heard that isn't totally not traceable...
I've never been there also, I'm so not so curious...😄

Well I went few times, you need some vpn software tor browser and web sites looked like with bulk names with .onion extension. Also there is deep and dark web wiki where you can found links. Dozens of markets for legal and illegal stuff, hiring asassins, drugs, private emails and everything. Some of nodes run NSA and from time to time they penetrate on some market and size everything and arrest admins etc... Risky place.

Interesting, I heard about some of this things, now thanks to you I have further confirmation!
I agree, is risky...
