When I thought that the Nazis had been capable of everything, I discovered that there is a movie where they could also create almost immortal zombies to make them fight their wars. Something totally bizarre and out of all possible existing context, however, it is a movie and I thought it might be entertaining...it wasn't.

A nazi-zombie Story
If fighting the Nazis had not been enough for the allied troops in the world war II, this film transports us to a scenario where the Nazis have seized a small French village where there is an apparently kind of substance that comes from the ground and can bring people back to life by transforming them into semi-immortal, uncontrolled and angry creatures, basically zombies.

So basically we have a movie where a group of allied soldiers are knocked down and end up in this town where they will have to destroy a tower to win the war against the Nazis, but also have to deal with the whole issue of the Nazis experimenting with the inhabitants of the small town and turning them into zombies. The plot although bizarre and absurd is something interesting because it is also seasoned and complemented with all the drama faced by a young woman who is constantly abused by a Nazi commander, a Nazi commander who is captured by American soldiers who put him in check to help them infiltrate the tower where experimental laboratories are to destroy it.
In some way the soldiers manage to infiltrate the tower to rescue some people who were captive but find all sorts of problems and zombies hard to kill. This is a film with a very good rhythm, but with a story that goes in all directions and that does not manage to establish any climax. The film desperately tries to be good and that makes it bad because it loses all clear plot sense.

Review
This is a strange film because from the beginning it seems to be a good war story with the Nazis involved and participating as main villains, but then it takes a tremendous turn when we realize that this is really a zombie story, something that makes it really rare, especially if we look at the way zombies are created. The cinematography doesn't help the plot because it's dark and with a confusing photograph where the shots don't highlight the moments and scenes so that we can clearly see what's going on.

Also the cast is very weak, the characters and the interpretations do not stand out at all, on the contrary they are full of clichés that make them boring and even unbearable in some scenes. A film that seems to have been created to entertain but ends up boring, has no emotional or intense moments that make us want to see more, the film is only dedicated to go down a new path but has no strength.
In short, a movie really tedious and annoying to see, with too much blood and disgusting moments where the action does not generate any reaction. We stay waiting for some kind of climax that never arrives, everything happens as it has to happen, the soldiers destroy the tower, save the girl and the Nazis lose. Nothing incredible or different than putting zombies into a bellicose story.
