A drama about a man who has multiple personality disorder caused by traumatic events in life. This drama is one of my favourites to rewatch and I am always amazed at how amazing actor Ji Sung has been in portraying SEVEN different characters who have different personalities in this drama.
In the drama Kill Me, Heal Me, Ji Sung plays the rich heir who suffers from multiple personality disorder. He suffered some great trauma in his childhood which caused him to lose some of his childhood memories and as he grew up, he developed several personalities to help him deal with his trauma.
Let me introduce you to his other personalities.
From 1st on the left to 7th on the right:
- Cha Do Hyun - this is his original self
- Shin Se Gi - this is Cha Do Hyun's 2nd most dominant personality and is the leader of the other personalities. He is the dark, bad tempered and is somewhat violent. He is a personality created to deal with Cha Do Hyun's painful personalities as he remembers the childhood memories which were 'forgotten'. He can be a softy who throws tantrums and gets jealous.
- Perry Park - I would consider him the glutton and genius as he is a pretty fun guy. He loves his food and alcohol but this guy knows how to build a bomb out of a rice cooker!
- Ahn Yo Sub - The suicidal personality as having to deal with Cha Do Hyun's depression. He is the quiet one who rarely comes out but when he does, he puts Cha Do Hyun's life in danger.
- Ahn Yo Na - Twin of Ahn Yo Sub (personality number 4), "she" is the funniest of all the personalities in the show. When she shows up and spots a good looking guy, she'll be screaming "oppaaaaaa!" (older brother in Korean). This personality is a 17 year old girl who comes out when Cha Do Hyun is under a lot of stress and causes all sorts of trouble for Cha Do Hyun to fix.
Source Only because Ahn Yo Na is my absolute fav!
- Na Na - We don't get to see this personality much but it is a little lost child who is shy and mysterious. She was revealed to be Cha Do Hyun's representation of his childhood fears.
- Mr X - The last personality who showed up (it was a surprise too). He presents himself as a magician and was a mystery however was later revealed to be Na Na's father.
The female lead in this drama is Oh Ro Jin played by Hwang Jung Eum, a first year psychiatric. She secretly helps Cha Do Hyun overcome his trauma and handles his other personalities.
The chemistry between Cha Do Hyun and Oh Jin Ri started off really well and wasn't as cliche as I imagined it to turn out. In reality, it isn't as easy to deal with a multiple personality disorder however it was explained and solved in a way where it was understanding for the viewers.
This is definitely a drama I would recommend to everyone! It is packed with emotions bringing out the laughter and tears. I'm even having that feeling of wanting to rewatch this again for the 4th time after writing this review haha~
