In Islam there is the term mawlid of the Prophet that commemorates the birth of Muhammad SAW. in commemorating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad his ordinary Muslims to do certain celebrations (depending on culture) such as making a da'wah event that night or help the orphan. but this is different from that in Aceh, specifically in Aceh Selatan, Aceh, Indonesia. they celebrate it by gathering together in the mosques which are then recited dhikr-dhikr and shalawat-shalawat. but this time I did not discuss about it but the dishes they brought to that place. in southern Aceh there is the term "Bale moulod" designation for the dish that is brought to commemorate the anniversary.
this dish is called "Bale" because its shape extends upward and below is made like a floor hanging between the four legs "Bale" that is then on top there is also such that in the middle, but with a shape that smaller, later on there are bamboo-shaped in the form of a loop-like circle of kemidian on the edge of his made pointy-tapered (Boh Butun).
()
"Bale" is divided into two, fruit bale (boh kaye) and bale of rice (bu). in the bottom base of his usual "Bale" in put rice in the wrap and rendang and other side dishes that have been neatly wrapped, as well as fruit bale is usually placed in large fruits such as watermelon, melon and the like.
on the second pedestal this bale fruit and bale rice just the same usually just put bottled drinks or canned drinks. and at the top of his usual "bun butun" bale of rice in a chicken egg set which he set in such a way following the bamboo crafts that had been made earlier. if in his usual fruit bale is set small fruits such as apples, oranges and barks.
the dish was then cited in every house which was then collected in the mosques. and distributed to members who recite dhikr and shalawat-shalawat in the mosque as a reward to them as well as public gratitude on commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad SAW.
like that unique culture that exist in South Aceh, please input if wrong in writing, know me still beginner.
