When has division helped anyone out?
Give me an example throughout history
Yes, tribalism is in our nature
Anyone we deem a threat we reject
But in modern times who fuels this divide?
Who has an interest in exploiting us?
Who funds these people? Who’s their audience?
Who hides the real enemy, pleases them?
Who fear mongers for political gain?
Canadian natives are mistreated
Did this come from their fellow men? Black, white?
Or was it the institution, the state?
Regardless of political party
Treaties followed? Are you serious? Hardly!
Regardless of famous Prime Ministers
Indian Act, White Paper, Covenant
Systematic dependence on handouts
Awful housing, addiction and violence
Burdened by “help”, disallowed to prosper
Racist intentions or means for “help”?
Results matter more than intentions do
How, why does the federal branch know best?
Are they all knowing, perfect? No one is
Even now, harassment, theft in Quebec
A model, beaten defending her child
Policemen enforce laws of Canada
The same government that mistreated them
The government investigates itself
Finds cops not guilty of laws they enforce
Why’s it always humans against humans?
Our equal rights come from being human
Everyday Whites hate Natives who hate Jews?
Racism is taught and exploited, yes
Media, politicians, hand in hand
Like the cults and gangs, inviting them in
Reasons to feel superior somehow
But please tell me who’s got the power now
Do give it some thought. They pander to groups
More of the failed policies keep them poor
Look at statistics, seven out of ten
Aboriginal women killed by men
Not self hate, it’s addiction, mental health
The same men suffer from suicide, death
Seven times more likely to be murdered
Even according to Stats Canada
More likely than the First Nation women
Investigation not followed through. Why?
Our tax dollars wasted on nanny-gate
And you’re telling me races I should hate?
I won’t take the bait. You’re slow it’s too late
Let the first nations determine their fate
Taking care of them you say? I call farse
Both the United States and Canada
More like economic, social control
What came with white settlers? Government
Drugs in the communities? Government
All reserves owned by the state? Government
Disallowed to marry, leave? Government
Manny Jules, a Native who owns himself
Head of the First Nations Tax Commission
Does he hate his own? He wants property
Owned by a collective, owned by just one
Owning land as opposed to having none
North Carolina, a great example
When left to thrive, tribalism can stop
The government surprised at no in-fights
Divide and conquer no longer working!
Banks for community and prosperity
Held accountable by some families
In the end one could say, try as they may
Federal “help” is burdens Natives pay
Indoctrination, dependence and pain
We can tell, racism’s alive and well
From fellow men? I’d argue it’s the state
