Bad news: Florida's abortion ban is upheld by the state supreme court.
Good news: there will be a ballot initiative to enshrine abortion rights in the state constitution.
There will also be a marijuana legalization ballot initiative. Both ballot initiatives need 60% to pass. If polling is any indication, they could pass.
This is good news for Florida Dems. Turnout among Florida Democrats has been an issue the past few election cycles. I can't think of anything better to stoke turnout in a presidential election cycle than abortion and marijuana.
