I work from home, and one day after hours of running around my house frantically and mindlessly trying to do things, I was stopped in my tracks by a piece of cardboard - that I saw on my dresser - with writing on it.
I don’t know where the cardboard came from…I hadn’t seen it before…I didn’t remember buying it - but what is said stopped me in my tracks.
The card simply said “ You Can Rest Now; You’ve Done Enough”.
I felt an instant sense of relief as I read that sentence and when I sat down I was startled by how deeply fatigued I’d really felt. And not just physically fatigued but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually tired as well.
I just sat there on the side of my bed breathing for a few minutes.
It was almost as if I had been waiting for permission from someone outside of myself to tell me to rest, and I’d hadn’t even realized it until that very moment.
One of my favorite teachings is This Abraham teaching.
In Ester Hick’s youtube video entitled “Abraham Hicks: Things You Must Do Every Day , Abraham says that “if we were standing in your physical shoes…”. “… we would decide to be lazy for a little while.”
In being lazy we would shift ourselves - into a state of allowing, thus opening ourselves up to receive all the good things (right now) that are waiting to come to us.
Abraham suggests that it’s not “The more you do the more you are worth…, but rather “The better you feel the more you allow…” your good to come to you.
Is it really that simple?
Pause
So …I want to say to anyone reading this steemit post right now - “ You Can Rest Now; You’ve Done Enough”.
Stop what you are doing and take a deep breathe and... feel that sense of relief.
Revel in that RELIEF feeling – you deserve that feeling.
If you can go out outside - into nature and let the sun soak into your skin, or smell a flower, or let your bare feet touch the grass, and breathe in some fresh air ...DO IT.
