Ferrari World was voted the Middle East's best tourist attraction in 2015. Which is pretty f*cking impressive considering the competition it was facing.
The amusement park is located under a gigantic, red, Ferrari branded canopy. Go inside and you'll find a Ferrari enthusiasts wet dream. From simulators that tell you all about Enzo Ferrari's life to a log flume with vertical lifts that take you through the inside of a v12 engine. It's also jam-packed with exquisite cars. The showrooms, filled with some of the greatest cars in history, will leave you less than satisfied with the dented Fiat Punto you have parked in the street.
The parks claim to fame is slightly more white-knuckle than what I've previously mentioned. This ride, the Formula Rossa, lives outide of the canopy. It also goes a wee bit faster than the others; 149mph to be precise. This gives it the crown of the worlds fastest roller coater. I can speak from experience in saying that it will give you a brand new hairstyle and ice cold cheeks. You also have to wear a pair of less than fashionable goggles. Partly to keep the sand out and partly to stop the sheer speed tearing your eyelids clean off! But the ride is definitely the highlight of your day out if you have the cojones to go on it.
And in case you thought they'd had enough of breaking records, they recently opened the worlds highest roller coaster loop. The Flying Aces is one of three new coasters this year as the park tries to retain its title as the Middle East's best tourist attraction. And it appears as though they are well on their way to doing exactly that.
