Abul Bajandar - The Tree Man
Now who doesn’t love the adorable Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy, right? But did you know that a disorder called “Tree man Syndrome” actually exists in real life? And one of the most well- known cases of this rare genetic disease is 29-year-old Bangladeshi Abul Bajandar.
Abul has been suffering from this condition for over two decades, which causes bark-like growths mostly on his hands and feet. This made doing normal everyday tasks like eating, taking a shower or brushing his teeth extremely difficult for Abul. But in 2016, a team of medical experts offered to give him treatment for free, from which the doctors surgically removed more than five kilos of growth off his limbs!
If you think Abul’s story’s amazing, then our number one pick will surely blow your socks off. But before that…
Since we’re doing movie references; if you’ve seen The Greatest Showman, you’re probably familiar with the Bearded Lady. Well, did you know that an actual bearded lady exists in real life?
