If I told you the below post didn't need any more flags, I'd be lion to ya. 🦁
ok I'll go stand in the corner now...

Post in question...

I call bullshit. No, sharing a damn stock image is not worth $9.00. Hell, not even worth $0.001 STEEM.

In case you didn't know, word on the street is that @steemcleaners has adopted a restrictive policy in addressing image plagiarism. You can read more about that on @enforcer48's post here

To sum it up, if the post with image plagiarism doesn't have certain tags, it gets a pass.

What does that mean to us?

Well, shit. Guess that means we gotta flag these in the meantime.

Look at all those glorious flags!

And hope @steemcleaners will amend this policy because from my perspective it seems to merely create a loophole for abusers and we already know that they are going to take advantage. Abusers gonna abuse. Period.

Let's make this a flag rewards campaign. Liquid rewards will be paid to flaggers in addition to the @steemflagrewards upvote.

To encourage minnows and plankton to engage in moderation, the pool will be split 3/4 to general population and 1/4 to whales using my Python dispenser function.

Update: Found their feline image poaching partner, @mesbaul. Flags on this link will be rewarded as well. Also, much thanks to @bluemist, owner of @appreciator, for unvoting the lion post.

Thanks @elgeko!

Happy Flagging!

Why?

That's a great question. I'm not sure how they rationalize it. Think they figure that if the user may not be intentionally trying to pass the work off as their own unless they use an artistic tag. I don't think that really follows tbh

Spam on #introduceyourself postings also gets a pass, cuz "welcoming bots are OK", even when they spam their product to high heaven, like Partiko and others do.

Maybe it's because without the artistic tag, it could be an illustration and not the core of a posting, and it is too hard to tell them apart automatically? Just guessing here.

Practical me says, "it's too much work."
Realist me says, "probably because some other big stake holders are doing similar things."
Cynical me says, "they are probably using alts to exploit the loopholes."

Scared me says, “I hope it’s not simply because they (SC) are overwhelmed.”

All hail, stinc!
