Steemflagrewards killed the Portland meet-ups.

in abuse •  6 years ago

Sorry.

Got a flag and went to talk to the people.

I made what $0.30-$0.40 and bought a $3 vote. Made 20% on the vote...

Oh the meet-up update wasn't highenough quality... Oh having the meet-ups and promotions for this website are not enough?

Well guess I'll just kill it. No love? OK I'll just not be helping...

Well again there are some huge issues. And seeing this first hand. Makes me wonder about my future here. Or is this even worth it?

Yeah the investment grows... I'm doing well.

But really most days I'm making a dollar or two a day. Flipping votes? Well it makes me able to help and support others.

But this? Kicked right in the balls.

OK then let it be known I'm tired. It's time I just shelf the meet-ups.

I'll shitpost if I want.

Welcome to today. Bought a drone to create some amazing content? Lol not anymore. That's all on hold. Not sure if I'm gonna just cash out and leave the blockchain. Or just shit post and flip votes and rape the reward pool...

Oh wait that's just going your investment.

Oh well there are other options. Think today will be about exploring other options.

And I do have a drone.

So yeah haven't totally made up my mind but yeah this definitely is the type of issue where we are losing people over subjective calls.

Now here is a question... How many people have been abused by this group and ran off? Well I'd guess from how they treat others it's quite a few.

But what other system is there?

You are over reacting. 1 day, 1 flag... Get yourself together man.

We have to fight abuse and sometimes it isn't going to be perfect.

The outrage is outrageous.

!dramatoken

Dramafarmer harvests another one...

And not really outraged. However does put things into perspective. Let's say out of this I made $0.15 and then got a penny hit? I've gotten worst.

But the pettiness and abuse of this? Well what an episode. Have quite the discussion.

Now about real abuse? Go fight it.

Quality police? For an accidental early post that I forgot to add the picture and the rest of that thought?

Now how does this treatment hit a newer person. Let alone someone promoting Steemit?

Blazing one! But meet-ups are canceled until I figure things out.

Out of 2 years? I've given way more back that I've gotten. And using my stake to grow others.

If the new person thought that flags were just a normal part of the site and no one freaked out, the new person would learn... Oh we can get flagged.

By the way, I disagree with the flag, but that is going to happen. Accept it with some grace.
If the new person sees someone puke, vomit and practically rage quit about it, they would think... Oh, when I get flagged I need to freak out.

You are training them... How are you doing>

And so far I've lost more steemians over this issue already that I'm trying to onboard now are saying why?

Oops... But all this drama? Shrug. I've still got life and my new drone.

Just keep it in perspective... the dude flagged you for a cent, and just because a small group of volunteering vigilantes agrees with him, that really doesn't mean much in the grander scheme of things.

I am supporting SFR very much and I do believe the group plays an important role in raising awareness for proper steem-etiquette and a small role in protecting the reward pool from actual abuse...

BUT, I also see how overzealous and poorly communicated flags can throw a gut-punch to genuine engaging users on the platform.

No system is without flaws, I hope you'll get to spark a fat one after all this noise and let it sink. I'm sure there's plenty of good for you to do and plenty of support that you can find for your goals here.

A post is open for 7 days, if people like it they upvote it, most will ingore, if they think it is harmful they downvote it.

It is part of the site and as someone who has been around for a while if you act like life is over you are helping to spread that idea.

It is how the site functions. Shake it off.

Honestly a potential steemian and investor ran off. Right in the middle of my pitch this happens. Had thensame then boom. Yeah can't do your job well then watch things fall apart without having some disagreement.

And shame this happens over a 0.022 and 0.007 vote. I've gotten worse.

But sfr acting like this and being the content police and "upholding" this ruling? Well yeah why should I help and support this? Especially when how many people are ran off by this exact drama as well as sfr running good original content producers off?

We need alot more love on here but people are acting more like crabs. Pull anyone down that gets ahead. That's not a very healthy community.

But hey think it's time I took a break. I'll go fly my drone and do real life shit.

Bit the content police got me to care less about my content standards. If that's it? Well I can shitpost again and again and again... Funny the spam Drugwars posts never got flags and it's spam... Lolz.

And really the platform had ran off mat people, the market dive chases off a big chunk.. Now the few left are infighting and flagging over everything.

Seems like there is alot of hope for steemit these days for the smaller accounts.

More like the wild west and bloody.

Shrug the community makes the platform. Just a reflection of what is really Here.
