Mymensingh: Six people were killed in a clash between the bus and CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Tarakanda of the district. All of the dead were passengers of auto rickshaw. The accident happened at Kakani area of the upazila on Friday afternoon.
Police said that a bus from Imam Paribahan, a Dhaka-bound bus from Mymensingh's Halua Ghat, collided head-on with Phulpur-bound auto-rickshaw. Five people, including auto-rickshaw driver, died on the spot and another injured. Later, the injured person was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MAMEC) where he died while undergoing treatment.
Tarakanda Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mazharul Haque said the police have been sent to the spot after the news of the accident.
Immediately the name of the deceased could not be known.
Dhaka: Three people, including three children, were injured in the clutter of two legguns in Mirpur. More than 10 passengers were injured. This accident happened at 3pm on Friday at Chattabari area under Shah Ali police station.
The deceased were identified as Shibli Sadik (32) and Yasin Ahmed (24). The identity of the estimated eight-year-old girl child killed is not known.

Habiganj: An unidentified teenager died after being hit on a train near Sutang Bridge in Shayestaganj district. The accident happened at around 12:30 pm on Friday.
