Saman Dance Record Sighting in Aceh Highlighted World

The mass-action Saman Dance-breaking action, with the world's largest number of dancers held in Aceh, is in the spotlight. A number of foreign media review it.

British media, the Daily Mail, Monday (14/08/2017), is one that reviews the record-breaking efforts. Through an article titled "Ten thousand Indonesians take part in traditional dance to entice tourists into visiting the infamous for Sharia Law region," they write that the participants, men, wear traditional black and yellow costumes.

From Turkey, Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT World), broadcast a video of Saman's Daman breaking-record times. Even so with the French AFP news agency.

While the Philippines, Manilla Bulletin, raised it in a summary article entitled "Record-breaking dance in Indonesia's Aceh promotes unity".

"The Indonesian Museum of Records is certified as breaking the national record with over 10,000 participants - beating last year's record of 6,600 participants," wrote Manila Bulletin.

Malaysian media, The Star Online, also did not miss the news. In the article "Record-breaking dance in Indonesia's Aceh promotes unity", it was mentioned that the record-breaking song and dance performances were performed to preserve the national park in the westernmost province of Aceh.
