Kita sebenarnya sedang berbicara tentang kekuatan akal tepatnya akal sehat. Dimana akal dapat mengubah suatu keadaan, dari keadaan buruk menjadi keadaan yang lebih baik. Sebagaimana kita ketahui, bahwa akal merupakan salah satu instrumen ilmu yang paling kuat selain “Wahyu Allah dan Sunnah Nabi Allah” (istilah dalam islam). Maka, ada banyak perintah bagi kita untuk menggunakan sebaik-baiknya dan semaksimal-maksimalnya. Dan ini telah dipraktikan oleh masyarakat Aceh. Mereka sangat menganjurkan agar seseorang menggunakan akal sehat mereka secara maksimal, serta mereka percaya akan besarnya kekuatan akal tersebut, sebagaimana dalam peribahasa Aceh menyatakan “Jika kita pintar mengelola, maka buah labu bisa jadi makanan enak, tapi jika kita tidak pintar mengelolah, maka anak guru besar pun akan jadi penjahat”.

We are actually talking about the power of reason (common sense) . Where reason can change a situation, from bad to better. As we know, that reason is one of the most powerful instruments of science besides the "Revelation of God and the Sunnah of the Prophet of God" (the term in Islam). Thus, there are many commandments for us to use as well as possible and maximally. And this has been practiced by the people of Aceh. They strongly recommend that people use their common sense to the fullest, and they believe in the power of reason, as in the Aceh proverb states "If we are smart to manage, the pumpkin fruit can be good food, but if we are not smart to manage, then the son of a professor would be a criminal."
