Medan is famous for its durian culinary. But other destinations did not want to lose. One of them is Aceh which now has durian tour directly from the garden.
Lhoong Sub-district in Aceh Besar is famous as one of durian producing areas. Many community plantations are there. The durian trees are grown neatly. The inhabitants there did not immediately pick the durian from the tree. But waiting to fall.
Once the fruit has touched the ground, they pick it up and then brought it down. Durian can be enjoyed directly in the plantation area or anywhere you want. Knives for splitting are also provided.
Traveler visiting Aceh Besar may not pass to taste the pleasure of durian Aceh Besar. The location of the community plantation is in Geunteut Village, Lhoong District or about 40 kilometers west of Banda Aceh.The price offered was relatively cheap, ranging from Rp 15 thousand to Rp 25 thousand. Depends on the size. If able to walk into the garden, traveler can try it. But if not, yes just enjoy the delicious and sweet durian on the edge of the river near the garden.
