Konon katanya danau tersebut adalah tempat bersembunyinya Putroe ijoe yang saat itu dibawa lari oleh pamannya sendiri yang bernama panglima Majid.
Selebihnya saya tidak terlalu mengerti tentang lagenda danau tersebut.
