A bluefin tuna sold for 36.5 million yen, or about Rp 4.3 billion. The 405 kilogram fish was sold in the last auction session of the new year at Tsukuji market in Tokyo, Japan. Although expensive, the price of fish caught in the waters of Oma, Aomori prefecture is still less than the fish sold in 2013 at a price of 155.4 million yen, equivalent to Rp 18 billion. With this sale price, the rare fish is valued 90,000 yen or Rp 10.6 million per kilogram. This fish is bought by Hiroshi Onodera, a businessman who runs a number of restaurants in Japan.
