Di Aceh, entah kenapa istilah 'ngopi' itu menjadi umum dalam menggambarkan keadaan dimana seseorang itu duduk bersantai di warung/cafe dengan ditemani segelas minuman. Meskipun minuman yang dipesan bukan kopi (bisa jadi teh, Cappucino, Milo, Susu, dll), namun orang tetap menyebut kegiatan mereka ngopi.
