this is the danger of using a led light
Lighting technology increasingly growing time following the times, from the era of light bulbs (fluorescent) to the latest light emitting diode (LED) light technology. There are many studies that prove that the use of LED lights provide many advantages. From better light, more affordable prices, and more energy efficient.
With these advantages, it is not surprising that some states in the United States decide to replace a streetlight with LEDs. But that desire seems to have to be postponed. Because, recently, the American Medical Association (AMA) issued a statement regarding the side effects of LED use.
According to the AMA, the light emitted by LED lights can affect the human sleep cycle, causing headaches, drowsiness, stress, even make people fatter. "In addition to having energy-saving advantages, there are risks that arise when LEDs are used as streetlights," said Maya A. Babu, a representative of the AMA, as quoted by Fox News on Wednesday, June 22, 2016.
The worst effect occurs on the use of LEDs as fixed devices that emit large amounts of blue rays. Here's another result caused when exposed to the blue LED light in large quantities.
1, Seeing the increasingly glare even though done at night.
- The pressure on the hormone melatonin that works regulate the human sleep cycle.
- Can disrupt the life cycle of animal guard ecosystems, such as birds, insects, turtles, and fish.
- Causes sleepiness while driving.
- Causes sleep disorders.
- Weaken body activity.
- Obesity.
