Tepat tiga belas tahun lalu, 26 Desember 2004 saat dunia tengah bersiap berganti kalender tahunan, bencana tsunami maha dahsyat menerjang Aceh. Bencana yang kemudian didaulat sebagai salah satu yang terhebat di abad 21 ini dimulai dari gempa 9,2 SR di Samudera Hindia.

Besarnya kekuatan gempa memicu gelombang tsunami yang menghantam Aceh, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, Maladewa, dan pesisir timur Afrika. Tsunami yang terjadi tepat pukul 07.55 WIB itu membawa jutaan liter air laut ke daratan.
Diperkirakan sekitar 280 ribu jiwa menjadi korban akibat bencana tersebut. Aceh menjadi wilayah paling parah dilanda tsunami dengan korban diperkirakan lebih dari 200 ribu jiwa.
Kesedihan yang teramat dalam dirasakan oleh keluarga korban, tanpa terkecuali bangsa Aceh. Konflik bersenjata antara Gerakan Aceh Merdeka (GAM) dan RI yang telah berlangsung puluhan tahun silam pun disikapi dengan arif oleh kedua belah pihak yaitu dengan cara berdamai tepat pada tanggl 15 Agustus 2015.

Dengan kata lain, jalur perdamaian yang ditempuh adalah satu-satunya opsi yang harus diambil pasca tsunami memporak-porandakan Aceh.
Kerinduan yang mendalam akibat kehilangan sanak keluarga, sahabat dan orang-orang yang dicintai tentu tidak mudah untuk dilupakan. Beberapa kuburan massal yang menjadi tempat peristirahatan terakhir ratusan ribu jasad korban tsunami kerap menjadi sarana pelipur lara keluarga korban, meski tidak dapat dipastikan jika itu adalah kuburan keluarga mereka.
“Saat lebaran saya juga sering berziarah ke kuburan massal ini, tidak hanya saat momentum peringatan tsunami (26 Desember_red) seperti sekarang saja,” kata Teuku Adriansyah, salah satu warga yang berziarah di kuburan massal Ulee Lheu, Banda Aceh, Selasa, 26 Desember 2017.

Teuku Adriansyah yang saat ini menjabat sebagai Keuchik Desa Punge Blang Oi itu menceritakan, ada enam anggota keluarganya yang menjadi korban keganasan tsunami. Saat kejadian, karena suatu keperluan dia tidak berada di rumah sehari sebelum tsunami sehingga berhasil selamat.
Ia juga mengaku sangat yakin jika keenam anggota keluarganya, dikuburkan bersama puluhan ribu korban tsunami lainnya di kuburan massal yang terpaut sekitar 2 kilometer dengan tempat tinggalnya ini.

Sebagian besar warga lain yang berziarah terlihat tidak mampu menyembunyikan kesedihan mereka. Lantunan ayat suci Al Quran dan doa yang dipanjatkan pun tidak terhenti meski tetesan air mata terus mengucur deras di wajah mereka. Setidaknya, itu adalah salah satu cara mengobati kesedihan dan kerinduan para keluarga korban tsunami.

Exactly thirteen years ago, December 26, 2004, as the world is preparing to change its annual calendar, the devastating tsunami struck Aceh. The catastrophe that was then called as one of the greatest in the 21st century started from the 9.1 magnitude earthquake in the Indian Ocean.

The magnitude of the force of the earthquake triggered tsunami waves that struck Aceh, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, the Maldives, and the east coast of Africa. Tsunami that occurred at precisely 07:55 pm it brings millions of liters of sea water to the mainland.
It is estimated that about 280 thousand people are affected by the disaster. Aceh became the worst-hit area with more than 200,000 casualties. The deepest sadness was felt by the families of the victims, without exception the Acehnese.

The armed conflict between the Free Aceh Movement (Gerakan Aceh Merdeka, GAM) and the Republic of Indonesia which has been going on for decades has been responded wisely by both parties by way of peace on the 15th of August 2015. In other words, the path of peace undertaken is the only option that must be taken after the tsunami devastating Aceh.
The deep desire of losing relatives, friends and loved ones is not easy to forget. Several mass graves that became the final resting place of hundreds of thousands of bodies of victims of the tsunami are often a means of solace the families of the victims, although it can not be ascertained if it is the grave of their families.

"When big day I also frequent pilgrimage to this mass grave, not only during tsunami warning momentum (26 December_red) as it is now," said Teuku Adriansyah, one of the pilgrims at Ulee Lheu mass grave, Banda Aceh, Tuesday, December 26, 2017.

Teuku Adriansyah who currently serves as Keuchik Village Punge Blang Oi was told, there are six members of his family who became victims of the ferocity of the tsunami. At the time of the incident, because of a need he was not at home the day before the tsunami so managed to survive. He also admitted very confident if the six members of his family, buried along with tens of thousands of other tsunami victims in mass graves are adrift about 2 kilometers with this residence.

The people of the pilgrims are not able to hide their sadness. The chants of the holy verses of the Qur'an and the prayers that were offered did not stop even though tears continued to pour on their faces. At least, that is one way of treating the sadness and longing of the families of the tsunami victims.
