I do consider myself quite lucky to with my walk to work and to the supermarket as a good stretch is along the Nottingham (and Beeston) Canal. This morning the sun was shining, there were clear blue skies, and you could tell winter is not far away - my hands were cold.

It's strange walking through a train station foyer each day but not actually catching a train. As you can imagine, the place is quite busy at around 8:55 when I pass through, and the atmosphere overall is pretty good. I feel that if these people are getting on with their day, facing up to the cold and the daily 9-5 grind, then I should be able to do it too.

Through the station and across the road, this is the view down to the canal. The building on the left a courthouse, where naughty people (and innocent people too) meet their fate each day. I believe there are also cells in the building or one near by too, but I've not had that experience myself.

I did attend a few hearings in the building behind the autumn looking trees though, and lost my case. What an absolute load of fucking bullshit that all was. Anyway, down by the canal and these days it's only bars (not open at this time) you will see across the other side. These were factories in the past as Britain soared to newfound industrial heights, using the power of water, pffft.

Clearly 'we' were quite proud of this, and chose to slap BRITISH WATERWAYS in huge letters on the side of what are now storage, flats, a gym, underground car park, comedy club, and bar :)

Pretty happy it's Friday tomorrow, I doubt i'll collect 10000+ steps like today, we are heading to the pub after work for the first real team meeting :)
