This update represents a compilation of the recent news, updates and projections about our Actifit project, including top actifitters for the preceding voting cycle, as well as updates on our account and delegations !

Actifit Major iOS Update

We are proud to announce the official launch of our new updated version of the Actifit iOS version - v0.5.4 beta.
This update brings tons of new functionality that was available on the Android version, and now is available to our great iPhone-loving community, including Fitbit support, image upload, activity chart, posting reminders and much more.

Please note that this new version requires that you first UNINSTALL the existing version, and install the new version. Upgrading causes an issue which prevents you from posting your activity. So please make sure to uninstall the old Actifit 0.3.4 beta app first, then install from appstore Actifit v0.5.4 beta

The major new features available in this release include:

• New image upload feature
• Markdown editor preview display
• New camera capture feature
• New Fitbit integration allowing syncing device/account data to Actifit
• New setting for choosing tracking mode (phone sensors v/s Fitbit)
• New setting for choosing to include/exclude Fitbit measurements within sync
• New setting for STEEM pay options: 50/50 (default) or 100% SP payout.
• Auto-saving of post content while typing to avoid data loss
• Maximize AFIT token payment option on posting report
• Dynamic resizable charting preview on activity history
• Configurable daily posting reminder(settings)
• User name and rank display on main screen

Discord Health & Fitness Radio Show Tonight - 8 PM GMT/UTC

Tonight is the night when we kick off our first Actifit Health & Fitness show!

We had originally planned this on our own Actifit discord, yet we got an invitation that we could not reject from the wonderful @shadowspub to host the show at her "The Ramble" server.

So we will be having the show over there, at this link on 8 PM GMT/UTC.

The idea behind the show is to enable additional interaction for the Actifit community in a cool manner; getting some more updates, chatting to the Actifit team, but also bringing in professional guests who would be sharing some info about their health & fitness journey, advise, recommendations...

Our first guest on the show will be @wil.metcalfe, a fitness trainer with over 10 years of experience.
The session will also host different parts, some of those will shed light on some of our famous actifitters, cool announcements, and also rewards to the attendees :)

There will also be giveaways on the session, including AFIT tokens, and a fitness supplement by non-other than our own Steem investor @theycallmedan - more details about the product on the show. Dan might be joining in on the show as well, either this session or upcoming ones. We are awaiting his confirmation.

We hope many of you will be tuning in. We aim to make this a recurring weekly session, so let's do this!

Witness Server Upgrade

Following the recent upgrade we made to our server, we are happy to announce that our witness resumed service fairly quickly, following the replay we had to do as a result of installing the new hardware.

Our witness is now bigger, better, and producing again those blocks as a backup witness. We are constantly producing 21 blocks per day as before, and our new specs are as follows:

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 Quad Core
RAM: 64 GB DDR4
Hard Drive: 2 x 250 GB SATA SSD + 500 GB SATA SSD
(Software-RAID 1)
Connection: 1 GBit/s-Port
Guaranteed bandwidth: 1 GBit/s
Backup space: 100 GB

A kind reminder to all actifitters: some versions of esteem app still cause issues when used to edit your reports, via removing essential info Actifit uses to identify proper reports. This prevents related reports from receiving rewards.
Until this issue is officially fixed via the esteem team, we advise that you use other Steem interfaces for editing, including our own actifit.io, steemit, busy or others.

The amount of delegated SP has a large influence over not only the daily/weekly delegation reward, but also on the amount of rewards the actifitter receives on daily reports, as it constitutes a key element in User Rank.

Which is why being an Actifit delegator now has more influence on your rewards, coupled with number of AFIT tokens and other factors highlighted before.

Add to that, and a key important item that will benefit Actifit by receiving more delegation, is the ability to claim and create more user accounts.

Delegators share a max cap of 100K AFIT tokens according to their delegation amount, and also earn a 5% beneficiary reward from actifit posts' beneficiary earnings.

Since many ask, here we describe again an easy way to calculate your AFIT tokens for a full day of delegations:
(Your Delegated SP) * 100,000 AFIT MAX / (Actifit Account Delegated SP - without account own SP and any delegators who opted out).
So for instance if you had delegated 100 SP, your daily earnings would be around:
100 * 100,000 / 250,000 = 39.06 AFITs

We are appreciative of more delegations to be able to better reward actifitters and support our project, so thank you for doing that !

When you are looking to increase your delegation, you need to use the new total amount as the delegation amount, and not only the increased amount. Otherwise only the new amount will be used, and the remaining amount will be undelegated.
