A rainy Thursday.
But I am committed to keep it up with the daily walks, especially now that the weather is getting a bit more uncomfortable, that just makes it even more important to maintain mental and physical balance.
While taking that picture of the walking ducks for todays title image, I noticed something peculiar. I always figured the male duck's shiny emerald-green glossy feathers would be for show, to be noticed. But when you actually get down to a duck's perspective it kind of turns into camouflage, making the ducks look almost headless. I found that to be a rather interesting observation.
My walk today was more on the short side again. Just a quick round through the nearby park and circling around through the neighbourhood to get back home.
Some trees are already starting to show intense reds. I hope we'll get some sunny days again to enjoy the show before winter takes a hold of nature.
You probably know I like things with eyes, or faces on them. So I also have to show you this traffic pillar thing I passed by on the way back.
It has been painted with that smiley face for quite a while now, but then someone else decided to add that flower pot thing on top of it. It's bolted in all properly and done well. Awesome stuff. Kudos to whoever did this.
