Today has been another great day.
Hello there followers old and new.
Today I’ve spent 7+ hours out and about, alone with my 1.5yr and 5yr old kids; buzzing around the town centre, cafes, the park and a friends house.
All in search of toys, adventure and sustenance.
I’m once again burnt out probably more than any other physical or mental activity I have attempted in the last year. Honestly it’s exhausting but in a good way, of course :)
However, the day started off with a brilliant bang.
I’m pleased to say that I woke up this morning to a notification from @coruscate blog post alerting me that my video won the @blocktrades sponsored @steemonboarding video contest to promote the @actifit app!

I was (and still am, obviously) very chuffed to with this outcome, as I was genuinely unsure how the video would go down with the Actifit community, given that I’m so new to the app.
Everyone has been so welcoming and had only lovely things to say about my contribution. So thank you to those who commented and upvoted :)

Now I’ve loved seeing the other entires from fellow Steemians to the contest, some of my favourite videos were from @ivansnz with this skilful cracker, @aussieninja with this charming and engaging look in to his awesome world and @bitrocker2020 with this nicely explained and super effective approach to his video

Yes I’ve posted to dTube a few times. Always hit or miss with the upvote. The last one didn’t get anything. Not sure how their algorithm works.
I love my family, and give my kids absolutely everything I have - time, attention, love - whilst they’re so small and need it ❤️

Some serious skaters on STEEM by the looks of it.
It’s been a while for me since I’ve been out, so I thought it was a good thing to get back in to for the @actifit video.
I’ll see about trying some tricks again. I had basic skills; kickflip, pop shove it, variel-kickflip (rarely) and occasional low-level board slide. Good memories!

Yeah they called ‘light leaks’, used to emulate that leaking light effect with film. They can be downloaded and overlayed pretty easily, but I prefer to shoot my own.
I might do a post on how I make my own light leaks!
I like to think they help break up the narrative and structure of the video in a visual way
