It looks like Gina bot is down today for some reason. Last week also it had some issues and today again the bot is completely down. Today I realized how much bonding we have with Gina bot. The reason is because I saw many of my friends complaining about Gina being down and I also personally felt the same thing. Usually the notifications from Gina is something that usually keeps us very happy. But it will be a blank and plain day if we don’t get any notifications from Gina.
Currently Gina is one of the most poweful notifications application on the steem blockchain. One reason could be because it a Discord notification and most of the members from Steem community are very active on Discord servers. As we find Discord as one of the favourite application for the Blockchain, I believe people also love Gina so much. That is the reason why our day is not complete without any notfications from Gina. Few days back I was also thinking of enabling notifications for some of my favourite author posts. So far, for the people whom I follow, I only receive feeds. I have enabled notification only for a few people. I guess it will be a good idea to add some of my favourite authors to the notification list so that I can get instant notification to go and read their posts.
It is quite surprising to see that there is no competitors for Gina bot in the Steem blockchain. Though we have Afia bot for Whaleshares platform which is not very great and powerful compared to Gina, I don’t think there are any other discord notification bots that are competent with Gina.
