Thanks so much for the lovely mention . . . though truthfully I thought I had already responded, which just goes to show that I'm not as effective as I think I am on too little sleep.

I'll have to schedule time to join you for one of your coffee time chats with @enginewitty. I love good coffee, though I'm primarily a tea drinker these days, but I'll have my French press at the ready. ;-)

Thank you very much, I am miles behind as well - real life keeps getting on top of me and when I'm done working for the day spending even more hours on the computer isn't always appealing.

Mondays 10pm UTC, and feel free to have a nice cup of tea with you. To be honest coffee is my morning drink, but by 1pm I move onto Tea and that's my drink for the rest of the day.

I can relate. I used to be a coffeeholic, especially when I was working as a stockbroker, but after detoxing from it I've never again gotten into it so heavily.

Marek was laughing when we met, because I had two entire kitchen cabinets devoted to my teas, which he loves as well. We're down to two drawers now, but I still love my teas, traditional and herbal. ;-)

My favorite teas include gunpowder green, genmai cha, lapsang souchong, and Earl Grey. No milk, no sugar. Just tea.

That is a serious roasting device you have there! I'm drinking more and more coffee these days, but i'm pretty sure it's not up to those beans.

You are more then welcome, I like to spread cards around a bit and make @steemmonsters even more fun - where I find people I know are actually playing it makes it easier to work out where to send them to.

Relatively my roaster is small just doing 5kg batches of coffee, although I can roast 4 batches an hour so the volume can stack up when I need it.

It is really good to see our active Whales making good use of their investment, admirable community involvement like this should be appreciated by everyone - and hopefully others will take note of how much activity it generates for the Steem Blockchain.

You can smell the coffee while I'm roasting coffee, I was demonstrating roasting to a couple who visited yesterday that would like to purchase a coffee roaster like my own - they got me talking though and I took my eye off one of my roasts a little too long and it got darker then I like - coffee beans go from light brown to near black very quickly at the end of the roast - and the smoke is intense I nearly lost them in the smog filled roasting room!

I would dearly love to do more on Discord but I've noticed two problems.

As a student and worker, finding extra time to dive in can be difficult. I can usually create a few posts per week at best.

On Discord, I've found almost no engagement when I have dropped in. People tend to chat with folks they already know. I have said "hello" and tried to join discussions and been ignored, so after awhile gave up.

Who knows, I may try again, but Discord has been a bust for me thus far.

I think you experience will mirror that of many, it can all depend the servers you go in and of course if you already know people - it can take a while to build up relationships with people - and especially for voice chat shows sometimes the text chat can get lost a little if people are concentrating on what they are speaking about.

There are plenty of positives though once you get involved, you can get more traffic back to your blog and find new friends. Keep trying, you will find your way with it eventually.
