HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!!!
I am now officially an Australian citizen. I chose to take the oath in a public ceremony held at the Ada Ryan Garden on Australia Day 26th January 2019. Ever since I set foot on this land, I have always known that this is going to be my permanent home. I still embrace my Filipino heritage but I am proud to call myself an Australian citizen now.
The ceremony started at 5:15 PM. My two aunties, Uncle, cousin and my husband were there to witness the ceremony. After the ceremony, we went to the restaurant to celebrate further my newly acquired citizenship.
It was a joyous occasion for all of us. I am grateful to my aunties and my uncle because I wouldn't be here in Australia and I would not have met my husband if it weren't for them.
Of course I thank God for my husband who has always been there for me throughout the whole process. He is very supportive and patient and I would not have reached this stage had it not been for his never-ending support.
P.S. I didn't do much activity today. The steps counted were from walking when I went shopping this morning. I bought a nice pair of shoes to match with my dress.
Congratulations! It is always great to celebrate important events with family. While your steps were low today you reach an important milestone in your life.

Thanks! This important event becomes even more special because it's celebrated with my loved ones. My grandmother would have been very happy for me, too, if she were still here.
