It was election day locally. Which meant that yesterday and today no alcohol could be purchased, except in tourist locations in the metro or more upscale areas with a larger expat population.
It also meant that the "local gym", which isn't an (international) franchise nor a fancy hipster spot - altho hipsters should definitely support local indie businesses - was closed.
Annoying, yes. Positive, yes. Positive that the people take their elections seriously.
But it also meant I had to go the extra distance to achieve the next milestone in my Actifit journey: 15k.
And I even won't get a badge for it.
