I did some kettlebell training at home before I headed of to work by bus and by foot. I was a bit skeptical about the class to come true because it was raining so much. A little rain is fine, especially if it's warm, but now it was really raining properly and only 13°C so the weather was against me. When I got to the park, the rain was pretty heavy and the grass was slippery and full of big puddles. I so I ended up canceling the class.
As I was doing jumping jacks and waiting if someone would still show up thinking that kettlebell workout could be possible on the slippery and wet grass, I was listening what the soccer coach was telling to the kids in the nearby court. He seemed pretty aggressive and frustrated. Instead of saying things like: "Good, next time try differently, I bet you can run faster..." the coach shouted: "You're doing it wrong, don't do that, don't go there, what are you thinking..."
It was pretty hard for me to listen that kind of talk. One should never talk to anyone like that, let alone children. They were under 7 year old. Maybe 5 or 6 year old.
But who am I to say. Their parents were in the courtyard too. Standing under umbrellas. Not saying anything. Not intervening.
So it was still raining, more and more. No-one came to wonder was it raining too much to swing some kettlebell. I headed to the nearest bus stop and home. 12 kg of cast iron in the backpack. 2 kg JBL Xtreme, 1 kg water in the bottle on top of it. A good workout. :D
