I was little hesitant about this one, because I have a bias against actors that appear on TV. Most of the plays I have seen with “famous TV” actors weren’t any good.
But, I changed my mind because I would have the opportunity to see George Michalakopoulos, one of the best actors of his generation. A generation of a golden era that is departing.
And the other thing was the play. A play by Arthur Miller. I have seen his plays and found them very interesting, as it seems he is very popular with Greek directors. It was written in 1968 on the same year premiered on Broadway. It was one of Miller’s favorite plays since it was the only one that decided to direct.
It is about family dynamics, the price of furniture and the price of one's decisions. The characters are portraited in depth. The try to balance with disturbing revelations and their choices and way of life of the last 30 years.
And it all that starts when they want to sell old family furniture. Two brothers meet after many years and issues came up that have to do with money , moral and economic debt and time. An evaluator represents the outside world and sparkles the action and the wife of one of the brothers wants to regain her life.
All of the actors were awesome. George Michalakopoulos plays an old evaluator that gives some comic relief. Gerasimos Skiadaresis and Christos Sapountzis play the two brothers and Renia Louzidou plays the wife. Excellent performance in an atmospheric direction of Anna Michalakopoulou.
The characters represent a society that it seemed it would change. And with every decision, we take we have to pay “The Price”. And the saddest part is that despite paying the price nothing changes. Society doesn’t change, people don’t change.

Not a great step count but I am saving energy for my dance classes. Today I have both salsa and bachata.
You are a wonderful storyteller! The content of the play is very accurate and picturesque! .
