Things are getting Nerdy... | Actifit Report: Dec 19 18

Half-elf, hill dwarf or LG human? That is the question.

Well for nerds like me who are actively investigating and planning my first Dungeons and Dragons character.

Dungeons and Dragons: Cleric

It all started when a new friend joined my office and mentioned his friday night DM plans. I knew immediately we were going to be fast friends.

While I'd never played D&D before I have loads of experiencs playing RPG video games and living card games like LOTR and Magic the Gathering, so I knew my new colleague was going to be a great resource and gate into the D&D universe.

So with my new friends help today I began a serious undertaking, designing my first D&D character. I thought, this will be easy, pick class, race, and roll for attributes... But nope.

Its way harder than that.

I wanted a cleric, a magical warrior who is deeply religious and powerful.

So what race? Human, dwarf, elf, halfling, gnome, orc or some hybrid of these? And each race has its own benefits and drawbacks to consider!

Then what type of Cleric? Light, truth, knowledge, or darker paths? You litterally have to choose your own god!

Its way deeper and more rich than I could have anticipated... And I love it.

I'll be sure to post more when I've actually crafted my hero or heroine, but till then, thank you for your time and attention and God bless.
