And while waiting at the wreckers for parts for the Ute I am fixing I snapped a photo of this old fuel bowser they had on display. It's from the Golden Fleece company that started hear in Australia in 1913. The tops of the fuel pumps had a Golden Ram in top.

It's like an allegory for what's happened right across Australia, that and many of our other companies are now just a memory. The golden fleece is gone and Australia has been well and truly fleeced.

Golden fleece merged with Caltex from what I know. Yes we have been fleeced by our own government 😠. Sending our manufacturing jobs overseas and letting in so many immigrants to take the jobs we have left for less pay and selling off our infrastructure etc.

My grandpa owned a gas station for many years and had some interesting tops to gas pumps. Too bad he didn't hold on to them or take care of them in any fashion! Oh well...thanks for sharing this one!

I like the old fuel pumps. I remember some petrol stations had people that put the fuel in for you. Now we pay a lot more and have to do it ourselves, that's progress😂
