I was busy doing a lot of things over the Christmas break. one thing I did was to take a trip to some family property in Lake Lure North Carolina. You may not have heard of it, but you may remember a movie that was filmed there. Principal photography for the iconic 80s movie Dirty Dancing was filmed at and near the lake. I'll include a few clips from the movie, as well as one of my favorite songs from it.
Love IS Strange, Mickey and Sylvia, Mickey Baker and Sylvia Robinson, recorded in 1956, hit #1 on the charts in 1957.

I did some hiking and climbed some smaller mountains near some of the larger ones while I was away. As for today I just took a walk and danced around to the music on my playlist.
I hope everybody had a great Christmas if they celebrated it and I also hope everyone had fun last night on New year's Eve. I was at a party that included dancing and having a few drinks and making noise and watching the ball drop at midnight! 😃
