My Actifit Report Card: November 20 2018 (A Day Out to the Zoo!)

Hey everyone! Yes! Another day past the 10,000 mark again. Today was a public holiday and we thought that we would finally make that trip to Zoo Negara with the boys.\n\nWe have been putting it off for a long time because Hubs sweats very easily and the thought of running around after two little monkeys in the hot humid heat of the day wasn't very appealing. Thank goodness that it was a really nice day today. The weather was slightly over cast and it wasn't until nearly 1.30 pm that the sun decided to show up and then it became uncomfortably blazing hot. Coupled with all the walking, we all worked up a good sweat indeed.\n\nThis was the entrance of the Zoo.\n\nWe were all most excited to visit the Zoo because of a few animals, namely the Giant Pandas and the Giant Aldabra Tortoise! The boys were so excited to see all the other animals like the porcupine, alligators/crocodiles, white tiger and elephants.\n\n\n\nThe tortoise was humongous! There 3 of them! \n\n\n\nThis alligator looked like it was just fed! Huge belly! \n\nWe arrived around 11 am and by the time we visited the Panda enclosure, 2 pm had rolled around and little Murtabak was fast asleep in the stroller. We knew then that it was time to go home! So we packed up and made a bee line for the car. Not to mention we were starving too as we hadn't eaten any lunch yet. Unfortunately all the food at the Zoo didn't look very appetising and they were probably expensive. We said bye-bye to the Pandas and headed out the main exits!\n\n\n\nThis is probably Liang Liang and her baby cub! \n\nBy the time we drove out it was nearly 3 pm and the fastest and most convenient food was of course Ms Donalds! (hahaha! Ok don't judge, we were tired and hot parents with two cranky little boys.) You can be sure that the Happy Meal and fries put a smile on their face!\n\n\n\nLook at the concentration on the food! \n\nHonestly the Zoo was quite run down overall with the exception of the Panda enclosure. That was really world class standards. But honestly if it wasn't for the Pandas, the visit was would not be worth it. Construction going on, run down animal enclosures and non-existant public amenities...Maybe wait a little while until it is all done before paying the Zoo a visit.\n\nMy little kiddos are of course fast asleep now.
