On my walk today it's good to see some greenery still around here after a reasonably hot summer.
Today we had a fire in the hills close by and we could see airplanes and fire trucks moving around to assist in putting it out.
Here in Australia you either stay and defend or get out early and you need to decide which one. Our plan was to get out early, let it all burn lol, so my wife had a few bags packed ready to go if required.
Even this evening we can still see the flashing lights of the fire trucks, it looks like it has all but fizzled out though.

How sad when there are those wildfires, here we are in a fire season, the worst is that there is no water ... and you can not turn off the fire, so the mountains that we see on the way, or are burning when you pass by or They have already burned, that's very sad.

That is terrible! I've seen burning woods in Australia but it's one thing to watch it and a totally different thing to live in danger. I hope you won't have to get out and your home will be safe.

I had a dream. I wanted to do all from this account do I don't have to mix my activity (posting, upvoting and commenting) using two accounts but it looks like I was too optimistic. Great to know it's all ok now. Quite a scare I must say. We keep hearing of wild fires in Australia and the state of California in the US. It is almost became a part of every summer to have woods caught in fire. I remember my husband when he was in Australia, now of course more than 20 years ago but until now he remembers the cork oaks how they look years later after such wood fire, the trees had black trunks but soon after they regenerate and look normal again.
I hope the fire will be under control and as many people in Australia you probably have your docs and necessary stuff anyway to grab and go if required :) Cheers, @Stef1
