I was bummed this morning because I only did about 5 minutes of squats this morning. BUT...the walking I did all day long totally made up for it.
Take this evening, for instance. We went to the first game of the college football season between UAB (our alma mater) and Alabama State University. We decided to take advantage of the free shuttle service to the stadium, so we drove to the pickup parking lot, got a walk over to the shuttle stop, rode the shuttle to the game, walked over to the entrance gate, then walked all the way around the stadium until we got to our seats. We stayed about 2 hours, then I had to come home because I have to work tomorrow (he does not). By the time we got back to the car, I had made it to 10,000 steps. It was like wow, I cannot believe I walked that far - but then I remembered that I did.
I am so looking forward to this season in college football, mostly because of the fans. They make the game entertaining for sure!
