What an amazing day. As I type this, I've been awake for about 28 hours.
This morning I met with a nutritionist and holistic health practitioner. There'll be a post about that later, but it was extremely powerful and may turn out to be a life altering two hours.
After that, I checked out the local Amish Country Store to see their selection of local foods. I can't wait to start buying groceries there, it's going to be beyond exciting to have them on my team as I embark on this chapter of my health journey. Local raw cheeses. Pastured meats. Produce. Canned goods. And the lady that was working there today was incredibly nice!
On the scale just now, I'm coming in at 211 pounds. About what I weighed when I got married ten years ago, and down 32 pounds since Christmas 2017 when I started paying real attention to this stuff. If that ain't progress, I don't know what is. My peak in the last ten years was about 260 pounds, during a period of depression and unemployment before I started my current career. I was very unhealthy at that time, in more ways than just obesity.
As I lay here, exhausted, about to wind down for bed, I am incredibly encouraged about this next chapter and the changes it is going to bring.
That's amazing progress! I still don't know how you can stay awake for so long. I get up at 4 most mornings and I'm in bed by 8:30. I might be old...
Anyway, congratulations on your victory! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you find the answers you need to get where you need to be.

Egg power! I actually stopped drinking coffee and started eating eggs instead. Those things are like crack! Energy all day!
I usually only do that twice a week, on Sundays into Monday, and on Thursdays into Friday. Those days I switch from normal people hours on the weekends to third shift hours for my work week. This week it was Sunday into Monday and Tuesday into Wednesday because I took a long weekend to get things done in the garden. It's tough, but it's the phase of life we're in right now.
