Had not much time for longer walks today.
Went to Kaunas, our next largest city, to meet my old friends and colleagues. Those who together managed to complete our first ever EME "Moonbounce" two way radio communication. That was the first such contact made from the territory of the former USSR. It was done on 11 May 1979, that is exactly 40 years ago. Contact made between UK2BAS in Lithuania and K2UYH Allen Katz in New Jersey, USA.

This was First ever EME (Earth-Moon-Earth) in an empire with 220+ mln population. We were quite proud about this, what we did then.
We had great time today, telling each other funny stories from the 40 yr old memory.
