Hello everyone π,
Happy Sunday π and a very warm welcome to my world π. It's definitely a blessing to be alive in this day and age. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and as the day fades away, am raring to go with my stepping activities of the day including some of the trending stories I came across. Thank you for being here and let's get cracking π¨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze π as I made my way around the neighborhood π². But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing napπ€. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
Just like yesterday, some interesting games in the EPL. Arsenal and Liverpool got shocked in their home matchesπΉ.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept goingπΉ, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Israel trending as the war cabinet met to discuss yesterday's missile and drone strikes by Iran. The meeting ended without agreement on the next steps or what to do about the attackπΏ.
Iran launched over 300 projectiles over multiple Israeli citiesπ. However, they were largely intercepted by Israel's iron dome system.
Iran has threatened a much bigger attack if Israel decides to retaliate the overnight strikesπ.
G7 leaders met electronically and condemned the attack saying it would lead to a bigger escalation in the middle east.
The UN security council will meet later on Sunday night to discuss that attack by Iran.
Across the pond in the US, the US told Israel it won't participate in Iran responseπ. Officials said Joe Biden urged Israel to think carefully before launching a response to the attack.
Down under in Australia, police identified the mall attacker who killed six people. Joel Cauchi, 40 year old, was first diagnosed with a mental illness at 17 years old.
Finally in crazy weather, heavy rains have caused flash floods in parts of Afghanistanπ. Damage to buildings and deaths reportedπΏ.
Let's hope the rain slows down, all's well that ends wellπ―.
So that was Sunday and I wanna thank you for reading this far π. I truly appreciate your continued support π and love π. Sending back that love π and lots of blessings πΌπ to everyone.
Let's touch base again tomorrow on an awesome Monday π. Until then keep stepping and enjoying your weekend π.
Soon it will be bedtime π€, so good night π΄ and good bye πππ Hakuna Matata.
