Hello everyone π,
Happy Sunday, and a very warm welcome to my world π. Time flies, we are through with the first week of April. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this dayπ―,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on π¨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze π as I made my way around the neighborhood π². Next I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and then the afternoon saw me go out to the mall for some groceries and window shoppingπΉ.
Then I was back home for a short but refreshing napπ€. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some you tube videos and news. The EPL had some good games just like yesterday.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk, a rather short one just to stretch out my legs. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, just another quiet Sunday, of course with the usual political shenanigansπΉ. Celebrations as Kenyans dominated the Berlin half marathon. Congratulationsπ.
On the continent Rwanda was marking 30 years since the 1994 genocide that saw more than 800,000 people killed. The evil and hate that went on will never be forgotten. Former US president Bill Clinton and former french president Nicolas Sarkozy among other heads of state were in attendance.
Globally, Gaza trending as Israeli military withdraw thousands of troops from the southern part in Khan Younis. That's after four months of heavy fighting that has caused massive destruction in the areaπΏ.
The defense minister Yoav Gallant, said the troops have been withdrawn to prepare for future operations. Adding that future operations include an offensive in Rafaπ.
Also trending, thousands of Israeli protesters gathered in west Jerusalem demanding for the safe return of captives being held in Gaza. Calling on Netanyahu to resign and call for early electionsπ.
In the other war, Russian strikes continued on the city of Kharkiv.
Meanwhile, Russia said Ukraine attack had hit the Zaporizhizhia nuclear power plantπ. Russian installed officials at the plant said radiation levels remain normal after the attack.
Finally, UK's 'hardest geezer' has completed the challenge to run the length of Africaπ. Russia cook finished the journey of more than 16,000 km or 9,940 miles in 352 days. He raised $870,000 for two separate charities.
Sore and sandblasted but triumphant, Russ has reached the northernmost point of Africa, almost a year after he set off from it's southern tip on a quest to run the length of the continent. Wow, congratulations π to him π.
Anyways let's touch base again tomorrow on an awesome Monday π. Until then keep stepping and enjoying the weekend π.That's it, stay safe, take care and good bye πππ Hakuna Matata π.
