Hello everyone π»,
Happy Monday π and a very warm welcome to my report. It's a new week and the stepping has continued unabated.
Hopefully you have had or are having an amazing day.
As always thank you for stopping by, you know the drill, let's go ahead and break it all down including the trending stories that caught my eye π. Here we go again π¨.
I began the day with a series of body stretches to loosen up my body. I was happy to find a sunny π day outside. I then walked for close to thirty minutes before heading back indoors.
Next came the usual house chores including cooking. Then I settled down to some YouTube videos and also watching some trending news.
My last walk was this evening, the sun was still out as I made my way around the neighborhood.
A beautiful sunset π ended the day as I headed back home after a few rounds on the roads.
Now let's look at what has been happening around the globeπ¨.
In the UK, populist reform party of Nigel Farage launched its manifesto today.
The highlight of their manifesto is to stop immigration and leave the EU human rights court.
Exit polls show the party is neck to neck with the Tories just ahead of labour partyπ.
In France a big arms fair is going on. The latest weaponry and technology is being showcased.
74 Israeli companies were set to take part but France has banned themπ.
France is against Israel operations in Rafa, arguing that innocent Palestinian civilians are currently being killed.
Speaking of Gaza, Israeli airstrikes have continued all over Gaza. 9 people reportedly killed in eastern RafaπΏ.
In Israel things are heating up. Protesters blocked roads including the one connecting east Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Others converged outside Netanyahu's home in west JerusalemπΉ.
Protest leaders have announced a week of disruption and are demanding elections before October 7 π.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu has disbanded the war cabinet. This as US envoy, Amos Hochstein, met with PM Netanyahu.
He is trying to de escalate tensions between Hezbollah in Lebanon with Israel. There's been cross border fighting, today a Hezbollah commander was killed when an Israeli drone hit his carπ.
Also trending, Russian president Vladimir Putin is on his way to visit his buddy in north KoreaπΉ. Definitely seeking more weapons to keep invading UkraineπΏ.
Down under in Australia, Chinese premier, Li Qiang is on a trip to the country. Protesters booed him outside for China's awful human rights recordπ.
Finally, the Euro 2024 continued. Romania mopped the floor with Ukraine in a 3 nil defeat. Then shock as Belgium suffered an unlucky defeat by Slovakia in a narrow 1 nil defeat. Slovakia is currently 45 ranks below Belgium in the FIFA rankingπ.Am sure they were overjoyed with their win.
In the last match, France struggled to a one nil win over AustriaπΉ.
Anyways, let's touch base again tomorrow on a terrific Tuesday.
Until then stay safe, have a good night and good bye β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π».
