Hello everyone π,
Happy Thursday π and a very warm welcome to my report π. We are definitely inching closer to the weekend and the new month of July. As always thank you for being here and let's quickly take a look at how my day has been including some of the trending stories. You know how we do it, let's go π¨.
So I had a rather short fast paced morning session consisting of a few rounds of brisk walking π£ around the neighborhood π². The cool morning breeze π was fantastic π―.
Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for some errands , nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news and some you tube. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept goingπΉ,otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, France trending as protests continued after the killing of a teenager by police yesterday. The protests were peaceful until police fired teargas at a march led by the mother of the victimπ. Then things got ugly as buildings and cars were set on fireπ₯.
Not far off in the UK, the court of appeal has ruled against govt plans to send asylum seekers to RwandaπΉ. They failed to prove Rwanda as a safe country and there was no guarantee someone sent to Rwanda would not be forwarded to country of origin. A big win for rights groups but govt says they will appeal.
Let's go to the middle east, protests in various countries against the burning of a koran in Sweden yesterdayπ. In Baghdad protests went on outside swedish embassy.
Across the pond in the US, supreme court has banned colleges and universities from considering race in admissionsπ. President Biden condemned that decision as affirmative action was meant at correcting past injustices. Saying it rolled back decades of precedent.
Down in Brazil former president Bolsonaro has been accused of abusing his power during his term. They say he may be barred from running for any political office everπ.
Finally, Virgin Atlantic launched it's first commercial flight to space, taking tourists at a cost of $450,000 per passengerπ. I wouldn't wanna risk getting lost in spaceπΉ.
So that was Thursday and I wanna thank you for reading this far π. I truly appreciate your continued support π and love π. Sending back that love π and lots of blessings πΌπ to everyone.
Check me out yet again tomorrow on an amazing high five Friday π. Until then keep stepping and enjoying yourselves to the max π―. So that's it, stay safe, take care and adios πππ Hakuna Matata π.
