Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, a new week and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹. Sporadic protests in Nairobi and other towns as the opposition protested rising prices of goods.
Globally, Israel trending as PM Netanyahu finally gave in to pressure from the on going protests. He has delayed that controversial legislation meant to reduce the power of the supreme court. Opponents say that legislation is a power grab🙀.
Let's head to Europe, where president Zelensky and head of IAEA, Grossi made a trip to the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia.
The biggest nuclear plant in Europe under risk with missiles flying around 🙀.
Elsewhere, Scotland's ruling party SNP picked 37 year old, Humza Yousaf to succeed Nicola Sturgeon as first minister🎊. Congratulations 🎈👏.
Finally across the pond in the US, really sad news as the 13th mass shooting of the year took place at a school in Nashville TN. This time 3 children and 3 adults were victims 🙀. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭. The deranged female shooter was shot dead at the scene. I wonder what her motive was.
